Security Officer Part Time Patrol Operations

About the role

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a retail location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service to shoppers and staff. You will communicate clearly, respond to security-related concerns, and support a welcoming environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, members, visitors, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and actions in accordance with location procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail warehouse, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, delivery areas, and employee entrances, verifying credentials and directing visitors and vendors in accordance with location policies.
• Maintain awareness of retail operations and report suspicious activity, hazardous conditions, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.

Requirements

• A Guard Card/License is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

• Sunday: 08:00 PM - 04:30 AM
