This Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced position is a flexible, dependable option for individuals looking to supplement their income, gain hands-on experience, or work toward a full-time career with the industry leader. As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol Inspection in Saint Louis, MO, this role provides reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility to earn more by picking-up additional shifts.
- Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
- Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours one week and full-time the next—it’s all up to you.
This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week, with the option to scale back when needed.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
- Respond to incidents, delivery-related disruptions, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, loading areas, parking areas, access points, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and report observed concerns.
- Monitor access to the location by verifying authorized entry for employees, visitors, and delivery personnel in accordance with site-specific procedures.
- Document incidents, observations, patrol activities, and security-related concerns through required reports and communication channels.
Requirements
- Possess at least one year of security-related experience.
- Be 21 years of age or older (18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles).
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Pass a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- Pass a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
