Security Officer - Part Time Patrol Checkpoint

About the Role

As a Security Officer Part Time Patrol Checkpoint in Ashburn, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries, particularly Financial Institutions. This role offers flexibility, allowing you to build a schedule that works for you through our Claim a Shift platform. You will be part of a dynamic, welcoming, and collaborative team that positively impacts the communities and customers we serve.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and maintain accurate logs and incident documentation.
• Report maintenance issues, suspicious activity, policy violations, and other security-related concerns to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Skills

• Access control/badge experience.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• CPR/First Aid certification.
• Customer service experience.

Additional Requirements

• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be necessary prior to employment, subject to state and/or local laws and regulations.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Pay

Pay Rate: $24.45 / Hour

Part-Time Schedule:
Saturday: 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM
Sunday: 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM
