Security Officer - Part Time Patrol

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the facility, including common areas, entrances, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter, with attention to unusual activity and/or access concerns.
• Help to deter unauthorized access by monitoring entry points, verifying visitor and staff access as directed, and reporting security-related issues according to site protocols.
• Support daily operations by observing for hazards, policy violations, and/or maintenance concerns, then escalating information to the appropriate personnel in a timely manner.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licenses requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
