Security Officer Part Time Patrol Access Verification

This role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public at a government location by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control practices, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of government facilities, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for entry in accordance with site procedures; assist with visitor direction and maintain professional interactions with the public.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document observations according to established procedures.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of patrol activities, incidents, and other security-related observations while following applicable site policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Possess at least one year of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Pay Rate: $22.00 / Hour

Schedule

This role requires a six (6) month commitment and offers the flexibility to pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites.
