About the role
As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor access points and alarm systems, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will assist tenants and visitors with professionalism, communicate clearly, and support a welcoming environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, vendors, and clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions.
- Respond to incidents, tenant concerns, access issues, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following site-specific protocols.
- Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the property, reporting suspicious activity, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
- Prepare clear, accurate incident reports and daily activity logs, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.
Requirements
- Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
