About the role

As a Part-Time Security Officer at a Medical Center in Chattanooga, TN, you will serve and safeguard clients in healthcare settings. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license. You will monitor and patrol a hospital location, helping to deter security-related incidents while supporting patients, visitors, and staff with exceptional customer service and communication. Responsibilities include responding to incidents, assisting with access control, and supporting specialized areas such as the morgue.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare setting.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and communicating with appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directions and site information, and report unusual activity or policy concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Document incidents, observations, and daily activities accurately and promptly in accordance with site-specific procedures.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Must meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• Must be willing to work in and around a hospital morgue.
• Must provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must be able to restrain individuals.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation and drug screen in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

$17.00 / Hour

• Wednesday: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Thursday: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
