About the role
As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare setting, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. You will use strong communication and customer service skills while responding to security-related needs.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established facility protocols.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout healthcare facility buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
- Monitor access points and assist with visitor management in accordance with site-specific procedures.
- Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately and communicate relevant information to appropriate personnel.
Requirements
- Possess 1+ years of law enforcement experience or 2+ years of security-related supervisor/manager experience or 3+ years of security-related experience.
- Meet hospital vaccination requirements.
- Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
- Guard card is required.
- Be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

- Thursday: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
- Friday: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
- Saturday: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
