Security Officer - Part Time Hospital

As a Hospital Security Officer, you will serve and safeguard a high profile healthcare customer. The Hospital Security Officer is responsible for the surveillance of the client’s healthcare premises and the protection of the staff, members, and visitors. A Hospital Security Professional detects and prevents any suspicious activity, observe and reports incidents, and provides customer service in a friendly and professional manner.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of healthcare facilities, parking areas, and surrounding property to help identify and report unusual conditions, hazards, and unauthorized activity.
- Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
- Monitor access points and assist with visitor directions, wayfinding, and adherence to facility access procedures.
- Prepare accurate reports and maintain required documentation for incidents, patrol observations, and security-related activities.
Requirements
- Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Pay and Schedule
Pay Rate: $20.00 / Hour. The job schedule is a daytime schedule, Friday, 05:45 AM - 02:00 PM. This role requires a six (6) month commitment to a fixed shift, with the opportunity to pick up extra shifts and increase earnings.
