Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of loading areas, trailer yards, parking areas, access points, buildings, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access to the location by verifying credentials, directing authorized personnel and vehicles, and documenting visitor, driver, and contractor activity in accordance with site procedures.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating observations and coordinating with site contacts and emergency responders as needed.
- Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and shift handoffs while maintaining a professional presence and following Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.
Minimum Requirements
- At least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
