Security Officer Part Time Driving Role

About the role

As a Part-Time Security Officer in a driving role in Roanoke, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Utilities. This position offers flexibility to build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. As an Unarmed Security Officer supporting a utilities location, you will conduct routine vehicle patrols, maintain a visible presence to deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, contractors, and members of the public at a utilities location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of utility facilities, buildings, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas to identify unusual conditions and deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as directed by site policies, and report access concerns or unauthorized entry attempts.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify emergency services and/or site contacts as directed.
• Complete required activity reports, incident reports, and daily logs accurately and in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific procedures.

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Pay

$19.44 / hour

Schedule

• Saturday: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sunday: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
