Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or employees while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utilities location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns according to site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual conditions.
• Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials and/or permissions as required, and support access control procedures for restricted or sensitive operational areas.
• Support emergency and utility-related incident response by communicating with site contacts, first responders, and/or Allied Universal leadership, and assisting with post orders and directional control as needed.

Minimum Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• A concealed carry weapons permit is required.
• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Have at least 6 months of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

About the Role

Qualifications

Preferably, candidates should have:

• Security-related experience.
• Armed guard card and/or license.
• Access to a reliable vehicle.
