Security Officer Part Time - Distribution

About the role

Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a fast-paced retail distribution location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, associates, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail distribution location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to site leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, including interior areas, loading zones, trailer lots, parking areas, and the perimeter, noting unusual activity and/or conditions that may need attention.
• Monitor access points and help to deter unauthorized entry by verifying approved access, observing visitor and vendor activity, and following site protocols for deliveries and departures.
• Support loss prevention and operational continuity by observing high-traffic warehouse and shipping areas, reporting policy violations, and communicating professionally with employees and/or contractors.

Requirements

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
