About the role

As a Part-Time Security Officer, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries at a critical operations location in Portland, OR. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while providing outstanding customer service and clear communication. You will support access control activities, maintain a visible presence, and contribute to a welcoming environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, exterior areas, access points, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access to the location, verify authorized entry as directed by site procedures, and report unauthorized access attempts.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related concerns accurately and promptly.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Pay

$23.25 / hour

• Saturday: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Sunday: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
