Security Officer Part Time Customer Service Patrol

About the role

As a Part-Time Security Officer in an educational setting in Eden, NC, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to deter security-related incidents, support access control activities, and assist with X-ray screening as needed. You will provide exceptional customer service and communication while contributing to a welcoming environment. Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established campus protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, parking areas, walkways, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and report suspicious activity, hazardous conditions, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Complete accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and other required documentation in accordance with site procedures.

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds (preferred).
• X-ray screening experience (preferred).
• Customer service experience (preferred).
• Access control/badge experience (preferred).

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Pay

$16.00 per hour.

• Monday: 4:00 PM – 12:00 AM
• Saturday: 12:00 AM – 12:00 PM
