About the role

As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will help maintain a welcoming, security-related environment by managing visitor access, verifying credentials, monitoring entry points, and supporting site procedures. Use your customer service and communication skills to assist employees and guests while helping to deter incidents. Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor and manage access points by verifying credentials, maintaining visitor records, and directing authorized individuals in accordance with site requirements.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through established communication channels.
• Monitor entry and exit activity, report suspicious or unauthorized activity, and help to deter unauthorized access to the location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access areas, the business, and perimeter, as assigned. Working environments and conditions may vary by location.

Requirements

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
