Security Officer Part Time Credential Issuance

About the role

As an Access Control Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and support a secure environment for employees, visitors, and operations. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate professionally, and use computer or tablet systems as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor access points, verify authorized entry credentials, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and direct individuals to appropriate check-in or staging areas.
• Help to deter unauthorized access by observing inbound and outbound traffic, reporting suspicious activity, and following established escalation procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying site leadership and/or emergency responders as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, parking areas, loading zones, and the business perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.

Pay

$15.24 / Hour

Schedule

• Day shift: Monday and Sunday, 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
