About the role

This Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced position offers flexible, dependable hours for individuals looking to supplement their income, gain hands-on experience, or work toward a full-time career. As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Credential Audit in Indianola, MS, you’ll have a fixed base schedule with the flexibility to pick up additional shifts for extra earnings.

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift, requiring a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: Pick up extra shifts through our scheduling platform to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Scale your hours up to 40 per week or back as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities.
• Monitor and control access to the distribution location by verifying credentials, authorizing entry, and maintaining visitor, vendor, and driver records.
• Observe inbound and outbound vehicle and pedestrian traffic at access points, report irregularities, and deter unauthorized entry or removal of property.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly, notifying appropriate personnel and documenting activities per site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the perimeter, with working conditions varying by location.

Requirements

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements vary by state/local laws and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

$14.00 / hour

Schedule

Daytime shift: Wednesday, 01:00 PM – 09:00 PM (fixed anchor shift). Additional shifts available for pickup.
