Security Officer Part Time Checkpoint Access

About the role

As an Access Control Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will help manage entry points, verify access credentials, monitor activity, and support a secure environment for employees, visitors, and operations. You will provide professional customer service, communicate clearly, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points at a logistics and distribution location; verify credentials, issue visitor badges, and maintain visitor, contractor, and delivery records.
• Control access for employees, vendors, contractors, and delivery personnel in accordance with site requirements; report unauthorized access attempts and irregular activity.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to site leadership and/or emergency responders as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, dock areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

Requirements

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation and drug screen in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.

$18.54 / hour

• Saturday: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Sunday: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
