Schedule will be based on site needs, with availability for 8-24 hours per week. Candidate must be able to walk and stand for 8+ hours, work weekends, overnights, and holidays as needed. Days on/off will vary based on site requirements; full-time hours are not guaranteed.

Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional customer service with a front-of-house mindset
- Maintain professionalism in appearance, conduct, and communication
- Demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills, including report writing
- Utilize proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office
- Be tech-savvy and comfortable learning intricate security and building systems
- Multitask and prioritize effectively
- Learn quickly and understand basic security principles
- Remain calm and respond appropriately to incidents and elevated situations
- Maintain expert, up-to-date knowledge of all site-specific post orders, corporate policies, and security protocols through proactive operational reviews
- Navigate and utilize complex security operations systems, including digital ticketing platforms, designated email boxes, corporate messenger chats, and electronic incident reporting software
- Author highly detailed, accurate, and legally robust incident reports immediately following security anomalies, medical emergencies, or facility breaches
- Manage high-volume access control and alarm monitoring systems, verify visitor identification, issue and print corporate badges, and enforce building entry protocols to prevent tailgating
- Conduct active CCTV camera monitoring and execute precise, immediate protocols upon receiving system alarms or security alerts
- Memorize and maintain a flawless understanding of response protocols for all system alerts, fire alarms, duress alarms, and emergency evacuation steps
- Maintain seamless, professional radio and walkie-talkie communication, adhering to proper codes and clear transmission etiquette
- Collaborate with property management to streamline parking requests, coordinate facility logistics, and manage authorized access for tenants and guests
- Execute strategic crowd control and monitoring measures during high-profile corporate events to ensure participant safety and orderly foot traffic
- Maintain unwavering situational awareness and physical oversight of all facility entrances, exits, and perimeters while upholding strict uniform etiquette and a professional demeanor
- Cross-train across all security posts and desk roles, demonstrating operational agility to pivot between duties as required by the site
Requirements
- High school education or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to pass an extensive screening process
- At least 2 years of Security, Military, and/or Law Enforcement experience
- Active Virginia DCJS security license
- At least 21 years of age or older as required by applicable law or contractual requirements
- Experience utilizing Microsoft or Google applications, and Security Systems
- Experience with Incident/DAR reports
