Security Officer - Part Time

Location: Bellmawr, NJ | Part‑Time, Non‑Exempt | Shift: Mon–Fri 3 pm–6 pm; Weekend 7 am–2 pm (plus extra shifts at Hammonton facility). Training begins at the Hammonton facility.

About the Role

As a Part‑Time Security Officer at our Curaleaf cultivation facility, you will protect people, property, and product by maintaining a secure environment, monitoring systems, controlling access, and responding to incidents.

Responsibilities

• Patrol the property, inspect buildings, equipment, and access points; ensure all doors and gates are locked and secure.
• Monitor surveillance cameras and security systems to detect issues or unusual activity.
• Perform routine tests and minor adjustments on security equipment; report problems and assist in evaluating new tools or technology.
• Control facility access by greeting, verifying, and authorizing employees, visitors, and deliveries.
• Investigate concerns and report suspicious activity to the Security Manager or local law enforcement as needed.
• Respond promptly to alarms and follow established safety procedures.
• Complete accurate, timely reports and maintain up‑to‑date records.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license for the state of application.
• Minimum age 25.
• Previous experience in security, safety, law enforcement, or military.
• Ability to remain calm, communicate clearly, and de‑escalate conflicts in routine and emergency situations.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience in safety/security, law enforcement, or military, with First Aid and CPR certification.
• Training in non‑violent communication, conflict de‑escalation, and assertiveness for both typical and crisis situations.

Pay

Hourly rate: $22.00/hr (New Jersey hiring range: $22–$22 USD).

Schedule

• Monday–Friday: 3 pm–6 pm
• Weekend shift: 7 am–2 pm
• Additional shifts available at the Hammonton facility
