As a Security Officer supporting a government location, you will monitor access points, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate professionally with visitors and staff, and support badge and access-control processes. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $20.50 / Hour Job Schedule DayTime Wed 09:00 PM - 05:00 AM Thur 09:00 PM - 05:00 AM What You'll Do Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government location. Monitor access points and verify authorized entry in accordance with site procedures; assist with directing visitors to appropriate public-service areas. Respond to incidents, public concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and complete required reports. Conduct regular and random patrols of government facilities, public areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity or hazards. Collaborate with site representatives and emergency responders as needed while maintaining a professional, service-oriented presence. Minimum Requirements Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred. Possession of a guard card or license is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
