Security Officer Part Time

About the role

As an Access Control Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor entry points, verify access credentials, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. Deliver exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting a welcoming environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and employees by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry points and verify credentials, visitor registrations, and authorization for access to commercial office and laboratory areas.
• Maintain accurate visitor, contractor, delivery, and access-related records in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, business areas, and the property perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Qualifications

• CPR certification is preferred.

$20.00 / Hour

Schedule

• Monday: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Saturday: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
• Sunday: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
