Security Officer - Part Time

About the role

Apart from serving and safeguarding clients in various industries like Retail/Malls, you will be part of a dynamic, welcoming, and collaborative workplace. This role offers flexibility in scheduling and the chance to explore new roles through the Claim a Shift platform.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, customers, and/or staff by following site-specific procedures, access guidelines, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and reporting security-related concerns to site leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the sales floor, entry points, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity, policy violations, and/or potential hazards.
• Monitor high-traffic areas and support loss prevention awareness by observing customer and store activity, reporting suspicious behavior, and helping to deter unauthorized access and/or disruptive conduct.
• Assist with opening and closing procedures, remain visible throughout assigned areas, and communicate with store representatives and/or public responders regarding security-related matters as needed.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Must pass a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Must pass a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

DayTime: Fri 10:00 AM - 05:00 PM, Sun 05:00 PM - 12:00 AM
