Security Officer - Part Time

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or drivers by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor information, and help to deter unauthorized access to the location, dock areas, and other restricted spaces.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or emergency personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, perimeter, parking areas, and shipping and receiving zones, noting unusual activity and reporting security-related concerns.
• Support inbound and outbound traffic flow by observing truck, trailer, and/or delivery activity, following post orders for gate access, and maintaining accurate security-related logs and records.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Qualifications

• Minimum age requirement: 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ years old for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Skills

• Customer service skills.
• Ability to respond calmly to emergencies.
• Knowledge of access control procedures.
• Basic computer literacy.

Friday: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
Saturday: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
