About the role
As an Access Control Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will help manage entry and exit points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and maintain a professional presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will communicate clearly with employees, visitors, and delivery personnel while providing exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
- Monitor and control access to the facility by verifying credentials, documenting visitor, contractor, and delivery driver entry and exit, and directing authorized personnel to appropriate areas.
- Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, loading areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
- Maintain accurate logs and reports of access activity, incidents, and unusual observations, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
