Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities in a healthcare location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facilities, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and escalation procedures.
• Maintain proficiency with authorized equipment and firearms, complying with applicable laws, company policies, and site-specific requirements.

Requirements

• Possess at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Possess a Virginia DCJS license.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications for this position include a valid driver’s license for driving positions only.
