Security Officer - Part Time Armed

About the role

As a Part-Time Armed Patrol Driver Security Officer in Sullivan, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Utilities. This role involves conducting routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintaining a visible presence to deter security-related incidents, and supporting a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. The position offers flexibility to build a schedule that works for you and the opportunity to explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a utility location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facility buildings, access points, parking areas, equipment areas, and perimeter locations to identify and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as required, and document visitor, contractor, and delivery activity in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and effectively; communicate with site contacts and emergency responders as appropriate.
• Prepare accurate reports of patrols, incidents, maintenance concerns, and other security-related activities, following Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.

Requirements

• Possess a Concealed Carry Weapons Permit.
• Valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• At least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Preferred qualifications: customer service experience and comfort using a computer or tablet.

Pay

$18.85 per hour.

Schedule

• Thursday: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM
• Friday: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM
• Saturday: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM
