Security Officer Part Time Access Support

About the role

As a Part-Time Security Officer Access Support in Spartanburg, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Tech, Media, and Telecom. This role offers flexibility to build a schedule that works for you using our Claim a Shift platform. You will support a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location by monitoring assigned areas, conducting patrols, and maintaining a visible presence to deter security incidents.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, and document visitor and contractor entry in accordance with site requirements.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly; communicate observations and required information to appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of business areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations (working environments may vary by site).
• Prepare accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift handoff information in line with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.

Requirements

• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment.
• Licensing requirements vary by state/local laws and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.
• Note: This site has limited on-site facilities, such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.

Pay

$14.00 per hour.

Schedule

• Daytime shifts: Saturday and Sunday, 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM.
