Security Officer Part Time - Access Control

About the role

As a Part-Time Security Officer in Access Operations at a logistics and distribution location in Spokane, WA, you will help manage entry points, verify access credentials, monitor activity, and maintain a visible presence to deter incidents. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting a secure environment for employees, visitors, and operations. Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor entry and exit points at a logistics and distribution location, verify credentials and authorization, and control access for employees, contractors, visitors, and vehicles.
• Maintain accurate visitor, contractor, and vehicle entry records, issue access credentials as directed, and report access irregularities to site leadership.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while following established site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, dock areas, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.

Requirements

• At least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Guard card or license preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws (qualified applicants with criminal histories considered consistent with applicable laws).
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• Valid driver's license required for driving positions only.

Pay

$20.54 per hour.

Schedule

Part-time overnight shifts: Friday 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM and Saturday 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM.
