Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology, media, and telecommunications location.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorizations, maintain accurate entry records, and report access discrepancies according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site contacts and emergency responders as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, lobbies, perimeter areas, and other assigned locations; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
• Maintain awareness of security-related concerns involving unauthorized access, suspicious activity, and facility conditions, and communicate observations through required reporting channels.

Requirements

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
