About the role

As an Access Control Officer at an aerospace and defense location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting a caring, team-focused culture built on agility, reliability, innovation, and integrity. A guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points; verify credentials, visitor authorizations, and access permissions in accordance with site procedures.
  • Maintain accurate visitor, contractor, vehicle, and access-control records; issue and retrieve badges or credentials as authorized.
  • Respond to access-control alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through established reporting channels.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas and the perimeter to identify unusual activity, help to deter unauthorized access, and report security-related concerns.

Requirements

  • A Guard Card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

$18.50 / Hour

Schedule

  • Wednesday: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
  • Thursday: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
