Security Officer - Overnight Construction Site Patrol

About the role

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a financial institution location in San Diego, CA, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. This overnight construction site patrol role supports a caring culture that values integrity and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and report details through appropriate site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including interior areas, exterior grounds, entry points, and perimeter areas, to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access to the location by observing entrances and exits, verifying credentials when required, and reporting suspicious behavior and/or policy violations.
• Support day-to-day operations by communicating with site personnel, assisting with visitor directions, and completing assigned reports related to patrol activity, incidents, and security-related observations.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Note: This site has limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.

$21.50 / hour

• Wednesday: 11:00 PM - 07:30 AM
• Sunday: 11:00 PM - 07:30 AM
