As a Security Officer Overnight Biotech Company Patrol in San Diego, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate professionally, and respond to security-related concerns with integrity.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities in a healthcare research location
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating to appropriate site contacts and emergency services as needed
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility interior, exterior, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns
• Monitor access points and visitor activity; verify credentials and follow site procedures for admitting, directing, and documenting guests and deliveries
• Complete accurate reports and shift documentation for incidents, patrol observations, access-related activities, and unusual conditions

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only

Preferred skills

• CPR certification is preferred
• A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred
• Customer service experience is preferred
