Security Officer - Open Interview Wednesdays 10AM - 2PM

Location: 4021 South 700 East Suite 100, Salt Lake City, UT 84107. Walk‑ins are welcome every Wednesday from 10 AM – 2 PM.

About the role

The Security Officer helps maintain a safe and secure environment for our clients by actively monitoring the premises, including access control and patrolling a variety of locations. The officer preserves order while enforcing regulations and directives for client sites concerning personnel, visitors, and the area.

Responsibilities

• Conflict resolution and de‑escalation.
• Frequent interactions with client employees and guests.
• Identify and report safety issues, hazardous conditions, or any suspicious activity.
• Ensure that all post orders are followed and assigned rounds are completed.
• Provide customer service and information to the client’s employees and guests.
• Utilize technology devices throughout the shift.
• Conduct tours of the property.
• Carry out specific tasks and duties of similar nature and scope as required for the assigned site.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Above‑average computer/technology skills.
• Excellent customer service and team leadership skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to remain calm and professional during stressful situations.
• Great attention to detail and vigilance throughout the shift.
• Professional demeanor.
• Ability to respond to emergencies with rapid, effective judgment and appropriate escalation.
• Willingness to participate in pre‑employment screening, including drug screen and background investigation.
• No previous security experience necessary.

Pay

Wage range: $18.00 – $19.50 per hour.

Schedule

Open‑interview walk‑ins are held every Wednesday from 10 AM to 2 PM. The position is full‑time; specific shift times will be discussed during the interview process.
