Security Officer - Mobile Driver

About the role

As a Security Officer Unarmed Mobile Driver in Ottawa, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities within an industrial chemical location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to site leadership and/or emergency contacts as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout production-adjacent areas, administrative spaces, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor authorization, and support vehicle and personnel screening procedures in accordance with location policies.
• Support incident reporting, maintain accurate activity logs, and communicate clearly with Allied Universal management and/or client representatives regarding daily operations and site-specific concerns.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
