About the role
As an Unarmed Security Officer in a healthcare location in Las Vegas, NV, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control, and respond to security-related concerns. You will provide professional customer service and clear communication to patients, visitors, and staff while helping create a welcoming environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, patients, and contractors at a healthcare-related location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned interior and exterior areas, including entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations, while reporting unusual conditions or hazards.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, helping to maintain an orderly environment and support authorized access.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate personnel.
- Complete required activity logs, incident reports, and shift communications accurately and in a timely manner.
Requirements
- Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
