Job Description

As a Security Officer Mall Patrol in Newport Beach, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a premier retail center, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for shoppers, tenants, and visitors. You will provide exceptional customer service, respond to security-related concerns, and communicate professionally with team members and site contacts.

• DayTime: Mon 03:00 PM - 11:30 PM, Thur 03:00 PM - 11:30 PM, Fri 03:00 PM - 11:30 PM, Sat 03:00 PM - 11:30 PM, Sun 03:00 PM - 11:30 PM

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail center.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site management and/or emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout common areas, parking facilities, storefront perimeters, and exterior grounds to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor for potential hazards, suspicious activity, and/or policy violations, documenting observations and reporting concerns according to site procedures.
• Assist with access control, directions, and visitor inquiries while maintaining a professional presence in a dynamic retail environment.

Minimum Requirements

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• This is primarily a driving post.
• Pepper spray certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licenses are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
