About the role
The Security Officer is responsible for providing a safe and secure environment for guests and team members, protecting company assets, and responding to emergencies. The position requires adherence to Caesars Entertainment policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Routinely patrol assigned areas and provide assistance to guests and team members.
- Respond to suspicious circumstances, theft, safety hazards, or emergencies.
- Facilitate resolution of complaints and ensure compliance with company policies.
- Oversee and facilitate training for team members to maintain high safety standards.
- Provide medical assistance and testify in court as a "First Responder."
- Document incidents requiring Security intervention and enforce company policies.
- Respond to areas of need promptly and assist civil and law enforcement authorities.
- Communicate professionally in all email correspondence and support team compliance.
- Support additional hours as needed for various projects or onsite coverage.
Requirements
- At least 21 years of age
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Prior security experience (1-2 years preferred)
- Strong computer skills (MS products including Excel)
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Ability to obtain and possess a Nevada Gaming Card, an Alcohol Awareness Card (AES), and a Nevada Driver’s License
- Flexible to work any day of the week and any shift
- Ability to work in varying temperatures and environments
Qualifications
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Must pass the physical and written testing of the Western Division Security Academy within the first ninety days of employment
- Must re-certify every two to three years through the Western Division Security Academy and pass all physical, mental, and environmental demands as required
