About the role

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to deter incidents, support access control, and communicate professionally with employees and visitors. You will document security‑related activity, respond to concerns, and deliver outstanding customer service while reflecting Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, caring, team‑oriented, and integrity‑driven culture.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while carrying out site‑specific procedures and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, production‑adjacent areas, parking areas, access points, and the perimeter to identify unusual conditions and deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access by checking credentials, maintaining visitor and contractor logs, and following site entry/exit procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly; notify appropriate site contacts and document observations and actions taken.
• Complete clear, accurate reports, communicate relevant information during shift handoffs, and support security procedures per client policies.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age (21+ for armed roles).
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Pass a background investigation in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Pass a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any applicable state/local licensing requirements prior to employment.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Qualifications

• Access Control/Badge Experience: Prior experience with access control systems and badge management, including issuing, tracking, and managing employee badges and access rights.
• Computer/Tablet Proficiency: Comfortable using computers or tablets for basic software applications, email, and navigating digital platforms relevant to the job.
• CPR Certification: Current, recognized CPR certification; proof required during application.
• Loss Prevention Knowledge: Understanding of theft prevention techniques, inventory management, and safety protocols to minimize loss.
