About the role
Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a dynamic logistics and distribution location in Kettleman City, CA. You will manage entry points, verify credentials, issue badges, monitor access activity, and provide professional customer service and communication. Your visible presence will help to deter security-related incidents while supporting a welcoming, organized environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access-control protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
- Monitor and control access to the facility, including verifying credentials, screening visitors, issuing visitor passes, and maintaining entry and exit records.
- Observe vehicle, driver, employee, and visitor activity at gates and access points; direct authorized traffic in accordance with site procedures.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
Requirements
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

- Wednesday: 06:00 AM - 04:00 PM
- Thursday: 06:00 AM - 04:00 PM
- Saturday: 02:30 PM - 11:00 PM
- Sunday: 02:30 PM - 11:00 PM
