About the role

The ideal Security Officer (Level III) will assist with wild animal control and monitoring, vehicle problems, and guest assistance. They will also control park access, monitor security systems, patrol buildings and parking lots, and respond to calls for service.

Responsibilities

  • Aid in wild animal control and monitoring
  • Assist guests and hosts with vehicle problems
  • Transport and escort Hosts transporting company funds
  • Support the Safety-First Aid Department
  • Control park access at entrances
  • Monitor Security systems including Fire Suppression and Park alarm systems
  • Patrol buildings and Guest and Host parking lots
  • Respond to calls for service regarding unruly Guests/Hosts
  • Respond to calls for service, such as shoplifting, burglary, and theft
  • Assist with lost Guest calls, working to reunite separated parties
  • Take possession of lost property and return it to Lost & Found
  • Provide Dignitary Protection Services for visiting celebrities

Requirements

  • Able to cope with situations firmly, courteously, tactfully, and with respect for the rights of others
  • At least one year of experience working successfully in a similar role
  • Prior Law Enforcement or Security related experience preferred
  • State of Tennessee certified as a Security Officer
  • First Aid and CPR certification required or ability to obtain a certification in a timely manner
  • Ability to develop skill in the use and care of firearms
  • Basic computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Applications
  • Valid driver's license, proof of auto liability insurance, and acceptable motor vehicle driving record
  • Good moral character as determined by a thorough investigation conducted by the employing agency; and/or the POST Commission
  • Pass a pre-hire drug screen and random or for cause drug screens as directed by the Company
  • Pass a physical examination by a licensed physician
  • Must not have been convicted of or pleaded guilty to or entered a plea of nolo contendere to any felony charge or to any violation of any federal or state laws or city ordinances relating to force, violence, theft, dishonesty, gambling, liquor and other alcoholic beverages or controlled substances
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Must have high school diploma or equivalent
  • Must not have been released or discharged under any other than honorable discharge from any of the armed forces of the United States
  • Must have fingerprints on file with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation
  • Must be willing and able to pass a First Responder Course and apply material when needed

Benefits

Offers of employment are contingent upon satisfactory completion of background screening which includes criminal history, credit check and motor vehicle record check.

Pay

Salary range: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.

Schedule

Shifts vary based on departmental needs, typically ranging from 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM, 4:00 PM - 12:00 AM, or 12:00 AM - 8:00 AM.
