Security Officer - Level 2

About the role

The Security Officer – Level 2 position is located in Redondo Beach, CA and requires an active DoD Secret security clearance. This position is 100% onsite and does not accommodate telecommuting.

Responsibilities

• Guards and conducts patrols on campus to protect property and personnel against fire, theft, vandalism, illegal entry, and other potential hazards
• Periodically patrols premises and examines doors, windows, and gates to ensure they are secure
• Observes departing personnel to guard against thefts of company and personal property on campus
• Inspects company equipment to ascertain if tampering has occurred
• Reports security irregularities
• Responds to active alarms and medical emergencies
• Permits authorized personnel to enter company property
• Examines the credentials of persons desiring access to restricted areas
• Issue temporary employee and visitor badges as required
• Direct traffic on company premises when needed
• Must be able to operate/drive a company security vehicle

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent and 2 years additional education and/or related experience
• Active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with the ability to obtain and maintain Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) approval within a reasonable period of time
• Current California Guard Card
• Ability to climb a ladder
• Valid government issued driver’s license
• Ability to operate/drive a company security vehicle

Pay

Primary Level Salary Range: $43,400.00 - $72,300.00

Schedule

This position works 3rd shift, weekends included. Shifts subject to change due to business need.
