SECURITY OFFICER II - VR & CB - FULL-TIME - SWING SHIFT

Starting rate: $20.00 (Day & Swing). Minimum age requirement: 21 years old.

Requirements

• State of Nevada Gaming Permit
• Alcohol Awareness Card
• Valid Driver’s License
• D.M.V. Driving History Printout (no more than 30 days old)
• CPR/AED Certification (provided by the Company)
• Previous experience with Mesquite Gaming Security
• Completion of Mesquite Gaming Management Training
• Basic math, computer, and grammar skills
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Ability to make sound decisions under stressful situations
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Integrity and a desire to serve and protect
• Ability to work all shifts, including weekends and holidays

Responsibilities

• Maintain an effective and efficient staff by conducting training for staff members and monitoring/maintaining training records
• Ensure adherence to all Department Regulations, Company Policies, and Procedures
• Review reports and other written materials prepared by staff for proper content, accuracy, and thoroughness; make corrections and improvements as needed
• Conduct follow-up investigations to Security Incident Reports
• Perform all duties described in the “Security Officer” job description in a professional and consistent manner
• Assist in training all Security Officers
• Supervise all Security Department members on-staff in the absence of the Security Lieutenant and Sergeant
• Assist the Lieutenant and Sergeant in ensuring compliance with all Gaming Regulations
• Other job-related duties as assigned by management

Physical Demands

The work requires some physical exertion, such as long periods of standing, walking on uneven surfaces, and lifting moderately heavy objects. The role may require above-average strength, agility, or dexterity.

Work Environment

The work environment may involve exposure to potentially dangerous situations or unusual environmental stress, including extreme outdoor weather conditions, threats of physical attack, or mob conditions. The role involves exposure to secondhand smoke in a casino setting.
