Responsibilities An individual contributor that maintains the physical security of personnel and property within local IGT facilities by enforcing all IGT security directives and regulations. Primary focus of the position is upon maintaining security of personnel and property of assigned facilityObserves facilities from a fixed post or by patrolling on footMonitors behavior and enforces security regulationsIdentifies and reports violators as appropriateCommunicates security violations or other threats to physical security (fire, disorder, any emergency)Serves as first point of contact in emergency situationsServes as liaison to law enforcement, fire agency personnel, or emergency medical personnel from federal, state, or local agenciesPrepares reports of all incidents involving criminal and security violations Security Operation Center Receives, reviews and trouble shoots level 1 security equipment failuresMonitors security officer current assignmentsEnsures calls are resolvedDocuments shift activity in the Daily Activity LogMonitors access control, intrusion detection, fire alarm, and video surveillance systemsMonitors CCTV with the use of the Ultrakey system. Understands how to reset the Ultrakey system when needed Customer Service Proactively maintains an environment that is safe and secure in appearance and in actualityProvides professional and courteous service at all timesAttempts to diffuse or prevent dangerous or criminal activities whenever possibleEducates IGT employees with regard to security policies and regulationsAssists IGT employees with issues relating to security (security escorts, providing directions, assisting with badging, etc.)Provides assistance with the shipment of the monthly USB's Communications/Interactions Promotes an ongoing attitude of customer serviceInternal contacts are limited to the department servedExternal contacts are infrequentReceives and transmits semi-routine information requiring little explanation or interpretation Assignment of Work Work is subject to close supervisory oversight and reviewDetailed instructions are given on new assignmentsFollows established procedures on recurring assignmentsEscalates all or most non-routine issues or problems to senior personnel for resolution Qualifications Knowledge/Skills/Experience Has basic knowledge of the department's proceduresHas basic knowledge of skills in:Federal, state, local laws and ordinancesSecurity/law enforcement equipmentSecurity protective systems (fire alarms, building access, etc.)CCTV experienceAssociate's Degree/High School Diploma or equivalentTypically has 1 to 2 years of experience in security Has The Following Certifications CPR certificationFirst AidAED Pay range is $17 - $21 per hour depending on experience.
