Job Description As a Security Officer Identity Verification in Indianapolis, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener in a logistics and distribution location, you will help support a secure environment by monitoring access points, screening people and items, and reporting security-related concerns. You will provide professional customer service, communicate clearly with team members, and use technology to document activity. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $17.22 / Hour Job Schedule DayTimeMon10:00 PM - 06:00 AMTue10:00 PM - 06:00 AMWed10:00 PM - 06:00 AMThur10:00 PM - 06:00 AMSun10:00 PM - 06:00 AM What You'll Do Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control protocols, and emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.Screen personnel, visitors, packages, shipments, and/or vehicles in accordance with established screening procedures and site requirements.Monitor access points and verify credentials, shipping documentation, and authorization for entry to restricted operational areas.Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders as directed.Conduct regular and random patrols of operational areas, loading docks, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns. Minimum Requirements Customer service experience is preferred.Loss prevention experience is preferred.Access control and badge experience is preferred.Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
