Security Officer - Hospital Unarmed Patrol

About the role

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol in Walterboro, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, respond to alarms and access control needs, and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. Deliver exceptional customer service and clear communication while reflecting Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, caring, team-focused, and integrity-driven values.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities in a healthcare setting.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disruptive behavior, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of facility interiors, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor management, directing individuals to appropriate locations while maintaining a professional presence.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and communicate observations, incidents, and concerns to site leadership and Allied Universal management.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation and drug screen in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Preferred Qualifications

• Access control and badge experience.
• The ability to lift more than 20 pounds.
• Customer service experience.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license.
• Alarm panel experience.

Pay

$19.20 / Hour

• Monday: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Wednesday: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Friday: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Saturday: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Sunday: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
