Security Officer Hospital Security

About the role

As a Security Officer Hospital Campus Patrol in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with site contacts and/or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and visitor activity, offering direction and support while helping to follow access control practices and other site-specific protocols.
• Support a professional environment by reporting hazards, suspicious behavior, and/or policy violations, and by assisting with de-escalation when appropriate.

Requirements

• Must meet hospital vaccine requirements.
• Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
