Security Officer - Hospital PT Midshift

About the role

As a Security Officer Hospital Response Unit in Saint Petersburg, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including entrances, hallways, parking areas, and perimeter areas, to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assisting with directions, badge verification, and/or other site protocols in a professional manner.
• Support healthcare location operations by observing for maintenance issues, access concerns, and/or policy violations, then communicating findings through required reporting channels.

Requirements

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• Be able to work in a hospital environment that includes a morgue.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be able to restrain individuals when required in a hospital setting.
• Have at least 2 years of service in a healthcare/medical-related field.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
