About the role

As a Security Officer Hospital Patrol Services in Cleveland, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with site contacts as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual behavior.
• Monitor access points and help to control entry and exit activity in accordance with site protocols, offering directions and assistance to visitors and staff when needed.
• Support a professional environment by reporting hazards, maintenance concerns, and/or policy violations to the appropriate personnel for follow-up.

Requirements

• Hospital vaccination requirements must be met.
• Must be able to work in a hospital environment that includes a morgue.
• Must be able to restrain individuals when required.
• Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Qualifications

• Minimum age requirement: 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ years old for armed roles.

• Background check and drug screening required.
• Valid driver’s license for driving positions.

Skills

• Ability to work in a hospital environment including a morgue.
• Customer service experience preferred.
